The Arts and College Preparatory Academy – Columbus, OH    

Program Director - 21st Century Community Learning Center     8/11 - 6/14  

  • Oversaw ACPA’s MAP to Success After-School Program including management, staffing, scheduling, development, grant writing, and budgeting for the $200,000+ per year federal grant-funded program which consisted of 19 staff members and up to 65 students daily.
  • Created the five day a week after school program, consisting of 25 rotating academic and extra-curricular workshops which students choose from daily.
  • Implemented the My Action Plan program, wherein students identify their areas of academic challenge, formulate their academic goals, and create their own plan to achieve those goals.
  • Created the Free Family Dinner Program with connects parents and students while providing them with valuable personal development information.
  • Ran the in-school Academic Intervention Program to work with students who were at risk of failing, including leading student reflection, goal setting, tutoring.

WorldTeach - Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia

Field Director     6/09 - 5/10

  • Directed the WorldTeach program on the island of Kosrae, FSM, including the management, housing, and wellbeing of eleven volunteer teachers.
  • Taught two sections of Twelfth Grade Math, and one section of Eleventh Grade Math at Kosrae High School, with a total of 75 students and a largest class size of 29 students.

  • Taught five sections of Twelfth Grade English at Kosrae High School, with a total of 132 students and a largest class size of 37 students.
